Selfime is designed to work quietly on your device. Here are the answers to the important questions.
When can I download Selfime?
The iPhone, iPad, and Android apps are coming soon. Store links will replace the coming-soon actions on this site as soon as the listings are ready.
Where are my recordings stored?
Inside Selfime’s private app storage on the device where you recorded them. Completed files are encrypted. Selfime does not receive a copy.
How do I move to another device?
Use a full-device restore where supported, or export an encrypted Selfime Recovery Kit and import it on the new device. Keep your 12-word recovery code somewhere safe and separate.
What is included for free?
The free edition includes three completed recordings and one Sealed Tape delivery. A single Lifetime in-app purchase unlocks unlimited recordings and Sealed Tape deliveries. It is not a subscription.
Can my family use my purchase?
Apple can share an eligible non-consumable Lifetime purchase when Family Sharing is enabled. Google Play does not share in-app purchases from free apps, so each Android family member needs their own unlock. Every installation always has a separate private library.
How do I restore Lifetime?
Open the Lifetime screen in Selfime and choose Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple or Google account that owns the purchase. A Recovery Kit moves your private library; it does not carry a store license.
Can Selfime recover my code?
No. Selfime never receives your encryption keys or recovery code. Without an existing unlocked device or the recovery code, encrypted recordings cannot be recovered.
Do reminders require push notifications?
No. Sealed Tape reminders are scheduled locally by your phone. Selfime does not register a remote push token in v1.
How do I report a problem?
Email support@selfime.com with your device model, operating-system version, and what happened. Never send your recovery code or private recording.
