Privacy promise
Your inner voice stays yours.

What Selfime stores
Selfime stores the scripts, recordings, schedules, reflections, and preferences you create inside the app’s private storage on your device. Completed recordings and the local database are protected with app-level encryption.
What Selfime sends
Selfime v1 does not upload your recordings, scripts, reflections, encryption keys, contacts, advertising identifier, or usage history to Selfime-controlled services. Scheduled reminders are local device notifications.
App-store purchases
Selfime contacts Apple’s App Store or Google Play to show, complete, and restore the optional Lifetime purchase. Those stores process the transaction under their own privacy terms. Selfime does not send them a recording, script, reflection, or encryption key and does not operate a purchase or receipt server in v1.
Backups and exports
Your operating system may include encrypted Selfime data in an iCloud, computer, Google, or device-to-device backup according to the settings you control. If you create a Selfime Recovery Kit, the encrypted export is sent only to the destination you choose.
Encryption and its limits
Selfime encrypts completed recordings and structured content in persistent app storage. A recording is temporarily protected by the operating system’s application sandbox and device encryption while it is being captured, then immediately converted into Selfime’s encrypted format. No software can protect content on an already-unlocked, compromised, rooted, or jailbroken device.
Deletion
You can delete individual content or remove the app and its local library. Copies may remain in system backups or Recovery Kits that you control until you delete those copies. Flash storage does not provide a reliable guarantee of forensic overwrite.
Children and sensitive content
Selfime is a general wellbeing tool, not a medical service or emergency resource. It is not directed to children under 13. Do not rely on it where immediate professional or emergency support is required.
Future services
If Selfime later offers optional accounts or encrypted sync, those features will be opt-in and covered by an updated notice before any content leaves the device.
